SUPPORT TRIANGLES FOR LAB FRAMES

In construction of the non-wall-mounted lab frames you should make a support triangle on each side. Our assembly instructions will guide you through these steps but is included here for general information. Since Rotocon clamps are set for either 10 or 15 degree increments of rotation, according to the size of the clamps, the chart below will help you find a compatible fit for the triangle without using the trial and error method.
1) Determine where you want the apex of the triangle on the vertical rod.
2) Measure in inches from that point down the vertical rod to the lower clamp that connects the horizontal side of the triangle.
3) Look up your measurement number in the first column of the chart labeled "Vertical Rod". The row beside each number gives the possible angles and lengths of the long diagonal side and the lower horizontal side of the right angle triangle.
4) Measure each to ensure that the rods that came with your kit are not too long or too short.
5) Mark the vertical and horizontal rods at the points of attachment and then attach the long diagonal rod so that the "teeth" of the clamps mesh properly.
